Agile Collaboration Day

For the evaluation of agile competencies & attitudes

(bookable in presence as well as online)

Companies that try to set themselves up according to agile principles need one thing above all: employees who understand how agile works and who are also convinced that the path is the right one. Or, to put it another way: who are competent in terms of agility and also have the right attitude. Many people talk about an agile mindset here. But how do companies find out whether your employee or manager has the desired agile competencies or attitudes?

With the support of Prof. Dr. Stephan Fischer from Pforzheim University, we have developed the Agile Collaboration Day for external and internal staff recruitment and for analysing the potential of staff development.

We use our agile competence model to observe and assess the participants. This basically comprises eight agile competences that are important for working in an agile environment:

  • Agile methodological competence: knowing agile methods as well as agile roles, meetings, etc.
  • Change competence: helping to shape and drive change, pulling other people along, taking risks
  • Team competence: meeting people with empathy and at eye level, recognising ideas and encouraging lateral thinking, showing respect and appreciation
  • Communication skills: communicating information in a way that is appropriate to the target group, connecting people from different hierarchical levels and promoting dialogue
  • Agile leadership competence: living an agile understanding of leadership (“servant leadership”) and leading laterally
  • Self-leadership skills: focus on goals and prioritise tasks, deal constructively with uncertainty and resistance, reflect critically on oneself.
  • Results competence: aligning one’s actions with a goal and linking them with a consistent corporate performance view
  • Entrepreneurial-integrative thinking and acting competence: uniting needs of different stakeholders and taking and understanding their perspective

For the evaluation of a specific agile role or job position (e.g. product owner), the basic agile competences can be supplemented with role- or job-specific technical competences:

Agile Collaboration Day Standard

As part of our standard module, we offer our proven Agile Collaboration Day (ACD) for a defined agile role (Scrum Master, PO) or agile leader. The module includes:

The module includes:

  • Observer training
  • Implementation and moderation of the ACD
  • Control and moderation of the observers’ conference

Agile Collaboration Day Customized

For a customized Agile Collaboration Day, we work with you to develop the competency profile relevant to the role/position in question and customize exercises, process, and evaluation accordingly. The module includes:

The module includes:

  • Briefing discussion
  • Iterative conception of the ACD
  • Observer training
  • Implementation and moderation of the ACD

  • The Agile Collaboration Day not only serves the selection process, but also promotes the further development of the participants by giving them feedback and allowing them to reflect on themselves during the process.
  • By using agile values, principles and methods in the process, the complexity of the problem of “filling roles” is adequately taken into account.
